As an Internet marketer or business owner who is trying to develop a greater online presence, one area you must pay attention to is link popularity. One of the easiest method you can use in social marketing is through video submissions to Google video. In this article, I’m going to share with you a step-by-step process of using Google Video, and how you can use it to get visitors to your site.
Now if you are not familiar with Google Video, it allows anyone to upload videos they have right to an area of Google where people can search for videos and view the one they are interested in.
So how exactly do you use Google video and submit videos for social marketing purposes?
Let me walk you through an example of a site that has done this very well:
1. Go to the Google Video homepage
2. Search for “ask the builder”. This site has uploaded 97 videos into Google Video. And as you can see, they are all fairly short. They have some that are a minute and a half long and others that are just under two minutes.
3. What you particularly want to pay attention to is the title. The title has to be interesting and has to make people want to click it, and most importantly, it also contains keywords that are helpful for being found on related searches. And actually, just to demonstrate this, if I searched Google Video for, circular saws, one of the videos on this site appears as the number one result. This tells you the importance of using keyword optimized titles and within the description of your video. This will provide you with more link popularity the more specific you can become with any text you use.
4. Description. You will be able to add text into a description so when people search for your specific keywords your video comes up on the search results and the particular keywords they searched with will be in bold letters. This is also another important method to use with your keyword research results and adding them to the description blocks.
